Leanda is an Evidence Based Management research consultant in organisational psychology and organisational behaviour with a particular focus on expatriate performance management. Presently running the HR consultancy practice in Igamix Management and Consulting she is the company’s research analyst on the Asian regions’ casino industry. She has previously opened the MBA program in Melbourne for the Asia Pacific International College as Director of Programs, coordinated the MBA program and established and managed the Career Centre at the University of Saint Joseph, Macau. With an MBA from the Melbourne Business School, the University of Melbourne, Leanda’s holds a PhD from the Department of Management, Faculty of Business and Economics, Monash University. She has broad experience in International Trade, Sales & Marketing and Shipping in UK, Australia, New Zealand and Japan with corporations such as Comalco Smelting and Sumitomo. Leanda is also Contributing Editor to the Macau Daily Times.
Leanda has presented at local and international conferences and business seminars in USA, Australia, Italy, Portugal, China, Malaysia, Macau and Hong Kong, and has published articles in the International Journal of Human Resource Management, with the Australian Centre for Research in Employment and Work, the Business as an Agent for World Benefit conference online forum, Casino and Gaming International, Inside Asian Gaming magazines and writes regularly for newspapers and magazines in Macau. Leanda is an award-winning academic reviewer and is an invited reviewer for journals and major conferences in her field. Current research interests include academic honesty, cross-cultural adjustment, job performance, and organisational support for expatriates.
Leanda is a member of the Academy of Management, the Academy of International Business, the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and is the founder of the Macau HR Initiative.
